On October 30th 2003 we visited the 
 Lausitzer Bergbaumuseum Knappenrode
a museum for the important local open pit mining for lignite (brown coal) 
at the area of a former briquette factory .
The visit is a must for all people who are interest in technique history and worth a visit by families
